RD Currie is a solo artist whose influences are folk, rock, latin, country and country pop. A Canadian singer/songwriter and guitarist, he has just released his debut EP titled "For You", which includes five songs. Samples of the five tracks are available on the Media page.
The lead track on his EP - For You is titled "For You" , a catchy Latin Rock tune that was influenced by the sounds of Santana, Mana, Los Lonely Boys and Luis Fonsi. "For You" is a song about lovers who long to be together but are separated by distance.
The second track on his EP - For You is "Find My Way." This is an inspirational song that has a folk/alternative rock flair to it. Combining the influences of The Foo Fighters, Tom Petty, The Eagles and REM, "Find My Way" is a motivational and uplifting song for the masses.
The third track on the EP - For You is "Soft As The Wind Blows", a romantic tune about a couple enjoying their time together. This latin rhythm jazz tune was heavily influenced by the sounds of Sade, Anita Baker and Lisa Stanfield.
The forth track on the EP - For You is "Another Day." This is a rock latin rhythmic tune that was influenced by Santana, Rob Thomas, Los Lobos and the Tex-Mex genre. This song is about a lost love that never rekindles.
The fifth track on the EP - For You is "Vows", a love ballad about a couple that has broken up. He wants her back again but realizes that it probably won't happen. This catchy piano driven tune is unfortunately an all too true scenario found within our social scene today.
